4 Bose Single Channel Equalisation Module: Installation Guide
J1 = Channel 1
J2 = Channel 2
J3 = Channel 3
J4 = Channel 4
5) Adjacent to the connector there is a hole marked with a white arrow. Push the supplied
plastic spacer into this hole until it locates with a ‘click’.
6) Push the Bose
equalisation module onto the PCB connector making sure that the hole in
its PCB aligns to the top of the plastic spacer.
7) Push down on the Bose
equalisation module until the plastic spacer clicks into place
through the hole in the equalisation module.
8) Replace the top panel.
2i CX-A850 Information
Each channel of the CX-A850 can have a Bose
equalisation module installed for use with
Bose
100V line speakers. The relevant connectors marked Con 12-19 are to be found in line
approximately 75mm from the rear of the CX-A850 chassis on the main PCB (see diagram
below).
When fitted with Bose
100V line speaker equalisation the respective channel must have its
65Hz high-pass filter switched ‘ON’ (see section 2j).

9) Turn the power off & remove the mains lead.
10) Remove the top panel from the unit.
11) Remove the jumper from the appropriate connector on the CX-A850 main PCB.
CON12 = Channel 1 CON14 = Channel 3 CON16 = Channel 5 CON18 = Channel 7
CON13 = Channel 2 CON15 = Channel 4 CON17 = Channel 6 CON19 = Channel 8
12) Turn the relevant 65Hz high pass filter ‘on’ by moving the relevant jumpers to the ‘ON’
position (see list below).

14) Push the Bose
equalisation module onto the PCB connector making sure that the hole in
its PCB aligns to the top of the plastic spacer.
15) Push down on the Bose
equalisation module until the plastic spacer clicks into place
through the hole in the equalisation module.
16) Replace the top panel.
