HP ATP – Cloud Administrator V1 certification

This certification attests that you can:

• Explain cloud computing, its benefits, processes, technologies, terminology, capabilities, and

deployment and service models

• Describe and position the HP Converged Infrastructure and CloudSystem solutions, their purpose,

benefits, and components

• Explain the HP Cloud Functional Reference Architecture and HP-defined use cases

• Describe the HP CloudSystem Matrix installation

• Demonstrate HP CloudSystem Matrix maintenance, administration, operation, customization, upgrade,

expansion, and troubleshooting

To achieve the HP ATP – Cloud Administrator V1 certification, you must pass the Administering HP

CloudSystem Matrix Solutions (HP0-D15) exam.

Who should take this exam?

All candidates for the HP ATP – Cloud Administrator V1 certification must take the Administering HP

CloudSystem Matrix Solutions (HP0-D15) exam.

Although anyone can take the exam, most successful candidates have two years of real-world experience

administering an HP Converged Infrastructure environment and have taken the recommended training.

Successful candidates also prepare for the test in a variety of ways. This guide describes some of these ways

and provides references to materials for further preparation.

Although anyone can take the exam, you must complete all requirements to achieve this certification.

How to study for the exam

The Administering HP CloudSystem Matrix Solutions (HP0-D15) exam is a certification exam and tests not only

course content but practical experience and knowledge based on real-world situations as well as prerequisite

knowledge. Successful candidates will demonstrate their competency by analyzing scenarios and applying

their knowledge and skills to reach logical and correct solutions.

The Administering HP CloudSystem Matrix Solutions (HP0-D15) exam tests you on topics that are covered in the

Administering HP CloudSystem Matrix Solutions course (3-day ILT, course ID 00477435) and in the additional

related reference documents (listed in the Additional references section later in this document). Both the training

and the additional references are recommended for all candidates.

Furthermore, HP Certification and Learning strongly recommends that the candidate pursuing the HP ATP –

Cloud Administrator certification has the following knowledge and experience:

• Managing HP BladeSystem environments, including Onboard Administrator and Virtual Connect

• Using HP Insight Management software to manage the Converged Infrastructure environments

• Using VMware vCenter Server to manage basic virtualization environments

Note: A candidate who has completed the HP ATP – Converged Infrastructure Administrator certification (or the

former HP CSA – Converged Infrastructure Administration [2011] certification) should have these skills. These

skills are also taught in the following ExpertONE courses (or in courses that supersede them):

• 00378835 – HP BladeSystem Networking – Rev 11.41

• 00297597 – HP Converged Infrastructure Solutions Administration, Rev. 11.11

While it is recommended that you complete this training, the training is neither required nor does it guarantee

that you will pass the exam.
